Jacques Harvey

One evening in 2010, I had a dream that God had created a planet where all of the painters of the past lived together. I imagined Chagall chatting with Michelangelo, Leonardo talking with Modigliani. They were all there! When I woke up I was still imbued with my dream and I had the idea of painting this planet and its most illustrious inhabitants. This enormous work, on which I spent several years, proved unworkable as a painting, it would be solely viable as a film work. However, still haunted by the idea, I found an alternative. I would depict these numerous artists in individual paintings, as I imagined them in the intimacy of their studios. After doing lot of research and making some meticulous choices, I began the creation of 25 paintings, representing my favorite artists. Today I hope that they will give you as much pleasure as they gave me.
In November 2011, Jacques Harvey inaugurated Miami’s new school of painting.  ...>>

In their essence my sculptures are archetypal fertility goddesses and gods in contemporary form. They summon the ancient mystery described by Joseph Campbell as aesthetic arrest through the living object.

Our eyes help us to judge distance by making far away objects look smaller. Just as a skyscraper looks narrower at the top when viewed from the ground, I give my sculptures the illusion of great size in a small scale by applying a signature interpretation of the forced perspective technique. Michelangelo also employed a forced perspective, with the opposite intent, when he made the top of David proportionally bigger.

Claudio Pereyra

In Jungian psychology, the shadow or "shadow aspect" is a part of the unconscious mind and consists of repressed, weaknesses, shortcomings, and instincts. "Everyone carries a shadow," Jung wrote, "and the less it is embodied in the individual's conscious life, the blacker and denser it is."

Tina La Porta

The revelation of one's demons or disabilities is rare on such a deeply personal level in the contemporary art sphere as is demonstrated by the work of Miami-based artist Tina La Porta. Swathed in layers of resin, La Porta's work is an inversion of an inner life to an external community: a vast assortment of antipsychotic drugs used to treat her affliction with schizophrenia.

JC Bravo
The series of works "Macho Men" by Latin American Juan Carlos Bravo explores the neurotic culture of machismo and questions this current and complex identity issue. The images convey the artist's ironic approach to the role of gender as a cultural construction; its rules and norms,   a paradigm that has been assimilated, reinforced and sanctioned by the cultural guidelines of society. ...>>

Not your New York

¨What happens when a young boy’s baseball bat and the weapon of a soldier contrast in the very same image? Or when mobile phones relate the yuppies to the neo-hippies in Central Park more than their sense of humanity?
And what if the shop windows in Midtown were to somehow interact with the homeless sleeping in some subway station?¨ .... ...>>

Kuki Benski in the chocolate factory

”the art of Kuki Benski consolidates her childhood imaginaries and reinvents them as erotic fantasies.” Thus, like Alice in the land of Eros, Benski plunges into a world of symbolic reinterpretation through humour and the creation of satirical characters where she disassembles stereotypes in an original approach to female eroticism ...>>

Daniel Pontet

Artistic beauty must be understood as an element independent from the taste or interests of an individual, a group, or an era. It is in than attempt to find absolute truth that an undertaking becomes an object of art and succeeds in freeing itself from all contamination. Its beauty responds to the need for its own existence.by Daniel Pontet ...>>
